Children and youth have a key role to play in shaping tomorrow’s world. It is thus important to equip them with the skills and knowledge needed to confront the myriad of environmental issues that face humanity today and are set to continue into the future.

WWF Singapore takes this challenge seriously and has crafted education programmes revolving around sustainable living and conservation issues. These issues, particularly pertinent for children and youth in Singapore, as local and global citizens, include: wildlife and habitat conservation, climate change, sustainable seafood, and deforestation.

Conservation ALIVE!

Our education programmes, collectively known as Conservation ALIVE!, are driven by the mission to cultivate a generation of environmentally responsible young Singaporeans, caring for the planet as socially conscious citizens and WWF ambassadors.

With this in mind, Conservation ALIVE! seeks to raise awareness about pertinent sustainable living and conservation issues, inculcate the right values and attitudes for addressing those issues, and offer opportunities to take action. These programmes have been specially designed to fit the context of schools in Singapore.

The first programme, Conservation on the Move, was rolled out to schools beginning October 2012. We will be launching the Eco-Schools programme soon, do check back for more updates!
