EARTH HOUR 2017 - THE "RUN"DOWN

Earth Hour is the world’s largest grassroots movement for the environment. It brings together millions of individuals around the world to shine a light on climate action!

Earth Hour 2017 was celebrated on 25 March 2016, Saturday, in Singapore in partnership with Sundown Marathon. In the largest Earth Hour event ever held in Singapore, the race had Singapore’s first sustainable marathon, taking into account total carbon footprint, use of plastics and waste management.

The Earth Hour 5KM Run set a new standard for how marathons should be run, with sustainable race packs, edible water molecules, hydration stations and even plantable medals.

WHAT YOU CAN DO NOW

EARTH HOUR BUDDIES

The idea of Earth Hour is to empower individuals to take positive action for the environment beyond the symbolic action of switching off non-essential lighting.

With our #EarthHourBuddies initiative, pledge a simple positive action for the planet and you will be connected to a conservation champion from another part of the world who will match your commitment with on-ground action! That's double the impact!
