Earth Hour is the world’s largest grassroots movement for the environment. It brings together millions of individuals around the world to shine a light on climate action.

Earth Hour 2017 will be celebrated on Saturday, 25 March 2016, between 8:30pm and 9:30pm in Singapore.

This year, Earth Hour and the Sundown Marathon have come together for an unprecedented race connecting thousands of individuals in Singapore and around the world to take action for the environment. Every run made will be matched by a conservation champion who will carry out an on-ground action to sustain forests, restore oceans, or protect wildlife.

Earth Hour x Sundown Marathon

When you run, real change happens.

The Sundown Marathon this year will be Singapore’s first sustainable marathon, taking into account total carbon footprint, use of plastics and waste management.

Part of the lineup of races, the Earth Hour 5 KM Run sets a new standard for how marathons should be run, with sustainable race packs, hydration stations and even plantable medals.

Over 35,000 participants of the Sundown Marathon will run for an environmental cause! Each run will be matched by real, on-ground action taken for the environment by conservation champions around the world!

Real change happens when people come together.

This Earth Hour, we are putting power into the hands of individuals to take positive action for the environment.

Stand up for our planet. From sustaining forests, restoring oceans, or protecting wildlife – we are calling for individuals to stand up for an environmental cause.

Take action, together. Take positive action for the environment together with a buddy! With Earth Hour Buddies, take positive action and you will be connected to a conservation champion from another part of the world who will match your commitment with on-ground action!
