Zi Shan Kow

Zi Shan has been covering news about the environment that Singaporeans want to know more about for over two years. She works at Mothership, Singapore’s leading youth-focused digital news media website. She writes about a wide range of topics from wildlife matters, biodiversity conservation, climate change to sustainability.

She also creates other forms of content, including infographics, comics and social media copies on the Instagram page @mothershiponearth. Beyond being educational, her work also aims to make environmental topics accessible, relatable and interesting to the layman.

Zi Shan has a degree in Environmental Science from NTU, with a specialisation in Ecology. She also has a background in microbial research and forest fieldwork.
