WWF-Singapore is a Singapore-registered charity, founded by WWF International - the global conservation organization. WWF-Singapore works with corporate partners in Singapore for best practices in natural resource management, engages in communications and outreach to raise awareness of critical environmental issues and collaborates with WWF offices in the region to raise funds for important conservation programmes. The WWF-Singapore office also provides a hub for regional staff of WWF and supports WWF's operational functions. It works with government, business, other NGOs and the local Singapore community to spearhead efforts to build the region’s expertise in planning and managing natural resources wisely.
As part of the WWF-Singapore’s Content & Engagement team, the Assistant Manager (Media) will help grow trust and deepen our engagement with key media stakeholders. Working with an integrated team in a fast-paced environment, you’ll be at the forefront of conversations around sustainability and conservation. This role will support our external marketing communications strategies in Singapore and the region, with equal focus on business and public outreach.
Develop and implement media strategies for WWF-Singapore, working in cross-functional teams to do so.
Build and grow trusted media relationships offline and online.
Proactively identify and pitch stories across lifestyle, business and trade media.
Develop communications materials such as digital content, press releases, statements and briefing documents.
Organise and facilitate media briefings, events and interviews.
Support the rollout of WWF’s senior executive talks and engagements.
Minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
At least 2-3 years’ professional experience in communications or journalism.
Strong existing relationships with Singapore media
Experience managing multiple stakeholders and working on simultaneous projects.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
