  1. Introduction of the role:

Are you passionate about working for an international development charity?
WWF-Singapore is looking for a new Database Officer. This is an excellent opportunity to embed your skills into a dynamic role, playing a key part in the overall support of the organisation. Reporting to the Database Manager, you will provide support to the organisation through data stewardship and governance. 

To be considered for this role, it is essential to have previous experience in database management and administration, ideally relating to gift, donation and income processing, with experience of using a CRM system or fundraising database such as Raiser's Edge or Salesforce. It is essential to have excellent attention to detail and an understanding of data protection legislation is highly desirable, but not necessary.

  1. Major Functions:

The Database Officer, alongside with the Database Manager, will be responsible for managing all supporter information systems (Raisers Edge, Salesforce, ActiveCampaign, ContactSpace, amongst others) for WWF-Singapore fundraising and retention programs. This includes auditing procedures of data entry, data extraction, regular data cleansing and other ad-hoc requests. The Database Officer will work closely with the Data Team (Database Manager and the Data Support Executive), and other stakeholders across WWF-Singapore to understand data needs and develop actionable insights.

  1. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Systems and database management:
  • Alongside with the Database Manager, manage all aspects of the database and systems including data integrity, data cleansing and troubleshooting
  • Develop effective and efficient automation procedures to manage data connections and data quality for transfers amongst WWF systems
  • Monitor database efficiency, security and integrity of incoming and outgoing data
  • Act as data support for Data team and other members of the organisation when necessary


  • Data Reconciliation:
  • Manage the month-end process and assist the Finance team with data trouble-shooting inquiries
  • Work with Finance team to reconcile monthly finance reports


  • Support the Database Manager on the migration to a new CRM:
  • Work with the CRM Migration Project team to strategize and plan the implementation project, including moving the data and converting content as necessary, while identifying potential risks and impacts
  • Support the data migration from 4-5 systems into the new CRM and perform testing of static data, and transaction of data, from one core system to another
  • Defining and executing data cleansing to ensure consistency, security, and data quality amongst all systems
  • Test the new system after the migration process as well as the resulting data to find errors, data defects and inconsistent data results


  1. Profile
  • College degree and/or certification in Information Technology, Marketing, Data Analytics and Data Management, Business Administration and/or an equivalent combination of industry experience
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience with CRM, databases or data systems, and proven experience in data governance
  • Knowledgeable in data query and report concepts
  • Knowledgeable in data architecture and design is desired
  • Previous administration of Raiser’s Edge / Blackbaud and/or Salesforce is preferred
  • Experience with data migration project is highly desired
  • Previous experience or knowledgeable in charity sector is desired
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel)
  • Knowledgeable and experience in the following tools is preferred: Tableau, Salesforce and Raiser’s Edge / Blackbaud
  • Organized, detail-oriented, good time management skills, and able to balance multiple priorities effectively
  • Flexible, resourceful, and able to perform despite tight schedules
  • A strong interest in conservation is desired

  1. Working Relationships

Internal – Working closely with Fundraising, Communications, Conservation, Sustainable Finance, Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy teams to deliver against cross organisational business objectives

External – Coordinating with external vendors relating to platforms and systems and database solutions experts
