Position title: Full Stack Developer (Supply Chain Traceability)
Reports to: Full Stack Developer (Project Lead Traceability and Web)
Start Date: Immediately
Duration: 12 month contract
Technology is rapidly developing, and its potential use cases for conservation are immense. Are you interested in addressing important conservation issues through technology? Are you experienced in data visualisation and good applied statistical skills? If yes, we are looking for someone experienced and passionate like you to achieve a tech-focused solution to help put a stop to deforestation!
Unsustainable palm oil supply chains in are fraught with illegality and deforestation. We are leading a technology-focused initiative to end illegal deforestation as efficiently as possible in two of the world’s most important forests for biodiversity.
This fast-paced, high-impact initiative will require you to work in a team that includes digital and tech experts from external organisations and palm oil experts based in WWF-Singapore and WWF-Indonesia. In this project, you will help us change the way palm oil supply chains are managed through the use of data and technology. Our end goal is to end illegal deforestation in the palm oil industry. The team will be based in Singapore, and will require frequent travels to Sumatra.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server side logic
Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code
Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications
Implementation of security and data protection
Design and develop mapping tools
Integration of data storage solutions
5 years of relevant experience
Experience writing and running automated tests including, but not limited to, integration and unit
Experience with SQL (Postgres/MySQL), NoSQL and/or Big Data (BigQuery)
Experience in creating and deploying to cloud based applications like GCP, AWS
You need to:

Be able to work independently
Have great organisational skills, attention and dedication to details
Experience with working in small teams
The ambition to develop well written and designed software
Be comfortable with frequent travel
