Nasry is currently enrolled in the environmental sciences program at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU). In addition to participating in consultations with key stakeholders like the government on local biodiversity issues Nasry has launched a slew of projects aimed at positioning youths to act on issues and opportunities that remain unexplored by the local nature community. These include novel developments, such as the onset of conservation finance and biodiversity offsets, as well as long-standing issues like land-use change and incorporating biodiversity in mainstream education. He firmly believes that young people possess the potential to bring about substantial systemic change, and that enhancing the abilities and expertise of youths to effectively tackle these issues and advance their understanding of the challenges confronting biodiversity in the region is imperative. He hopes that such approaches to capacity building and curating platforms for the youths would better enable them to tackle large-scale, systemic issues effectively.
