While on a school trip to Tioman Island, off the east coast of Malaysia, Robert was saddened to hear that plans to build a new airport there would severely damage coral and local turtle populations.

The news spurred Robert on and he decided to carry out his own Christmas fundraiser for conservation. Every day in December he took a Santa sack to school filled with candy. At break times he sold the sweets to his classmates. It was such a success Robert started a cashbook to keep track of his funds. By Christmas he had raised SGD 856 and was able to hand over a cheque to the WWF office in Singapore.

Robert is obviously a committed conservationist and his efforts show you are never too young to make a difference. Great work Robert, we look forward to your next endeavour!
