With your help, we can protect endangered species, provide sustainable livelihoods for the local coastal communities, increase resilience against climate change, sustain thriving marine ecosystems, and more. Every dollar you give is a step towards preserving the beauty beneath the waves.
Your donation matters. Be the change our seas need.
Your support creates a flourishing marine ecosystem. With each contribution, you make a splash in preserving marine life. Every species saved, every marine ranger hired, and every engaged community is a testament to your impact.
This is more than a thank you; it’s an invitation to swim further into our incredible impact together. Let’s keep the wave of change going.

Dive deep into the heartwarming tales of our ocean guardians, whose unwavering commitment and passion are driving change and safeguarding our marine treasures for future generations.
“Our association of the Small Fishermen of Barangay Salvacion (village) was reactivated with the help of WWF. They assisted us in updating our management plan. Our community became aware of how to assess the status of our coral reefs and seagrasses. A lot of members in our community learned and gained knowledge about protecting our marine environment. As the village chief, I am thankful that we became partners with the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF).”
“It is important for us to engage with all the communities in Darvel bay because they are the ones that are living there. We need to take into consideration their opinions, their concerns and their vision of how they want to see Darvel bay in the future.”
“Community consultation conducted in our village has given the opportunity to the old and young generation to get awareness and learn on the importance of our involvement in safeguarding the resources for our future. With more information shared on marine habitat such as coral reefs and seagrass during resource verification, the activity has open our eyes to appreciate the resources as many of us depend on it for our economy. I am grateful as we can work together with Sabah Parks and WWF –Malaysia in managing our marine resources effectively.”
Regional MPAs in the Coral Triangle can ensure the preservation of local species that are mobile or migratory in nature. The migration pathways and home ranges of sea turtles and marine mammals, which Singapore is a part of, can be protected by a network of regional MPAs.
WWF actively engages and consults coastal communities in the MPA establishment process, as their livelihoods are heavily reliant on marine resources. Given that these communities are frequently marginalized in power and decision-making processes, your generous donation will contribute to supporting, empowering, and amplifying the voices of these communities. You can be the driving force behind this oceanic transformation, and it’s time to work together!
Marine rangers confront many challenges, including rugged, remote locations, inadequate resources, and physical dangers in protecting our oceans. WWF provides training, equipment, and resources to ensure their safety and effectiveness, making their heroic efforts possible.
Well-managed Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) act as underwater sanctuaries, shielding vital marine habitats from harmful human activities like destructive fishing practices. This enables the safeguarding of blue carbon habitats such as mangroves and seagrass meadows, which are crucial for climate resilience. These habitats, along with coral reefs, enable commercially valuable and threatened fish species to feed, breed, and recover, consequently supporting the livelihoods of local communities that rely on the health and productivity of coastal and marine biodiversity.
Some UV filters used in sunscreens contain chemicals which can harm marine life and coral reefs. These chemicals can affect coral growth and disrupt the behaviour of fish. Therefore, choosing reef-safe sunscreens and eco-friendly packaging helps protect our oceans from these harmful impacts.
