Position Title: Manager, Climate Programme

Reports to: Head of Market Transformation, Conservation Department

Major Functions:                                                                                                                                            

The Manager of the Climate Programme is responsible for developing and overseeing the implementation of an impactful workplan to support Singapore and Singapore residents achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2030. This is a key position within the Conservation Department that requires strong technical knowledge, strategic thinking, SMART target-setting capabilities, robust project design and adaptive and agile project management experience, and close and regular collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders. The Manager must have a good understanding of the key principles of the carbon mitigation hierarchy, carbon markets, renewable energy transition, climate-related policy making and climate finance.  The chosen candidate should also be comfortable representing WWF-Singapore within the WWF network and with external stakeholders and media.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the climate programme for WWF-Singapore, with responsibility for strategy, design thinking, and subject matter expertise to meet conservation goals and targets.
  • Develop, adapt and oversee the delivery of a workplan and budget to meet strategic goals, targets and indicators.
  • Provide technical expertise and be responsible for setting the agenda for our flagship programmes such as the WWF Earth Hour Summit, Partners Series, Climate Talks, etc.
  • Design impactful projects with cross-departmental support. Projects must be designed according to WWF network standards and include SMART objectives, deliverables, a theory of change, risks and assumptions, outcomes, outputs, indicators and budgets.
  • Actively contribute to policy-making processes and position papers.
  • Adaptively manage projects and budgets in accordance with WWF standards. Monitor and report progress to the senior management team and colleagues as required.
  • Secure funding for the programme by working closely with, and supporting, the Marketing, Communications and Fundraising (MCF) department. This includes donor engagement and presentations to donors and stakeholders.
  • Develop and deliver transformational partnerships and initiatives working in collaboration with other teams, including Corporate Partnerships, Sustainable Finance and Education and Outreach. This may include business sector and/or corporate strategies, market- and consumer-facing workshops, Green Talks, training, webinars, course curriculum development, and community engagement initiatives. It may also involve working in collaboration with WWF colleagues in regional and global teams, such as the WWF International Climate and Energy Practice and its REPower Asia initiative.
  • Guide the content and fact-check all communications-related materials relevant to climate, working closely with and supporting the marketing, communications and fundraising teams.
  • Undertake selective external engagement as WWF-Singapore’s climate representative, in consultation with marketing, communication and fundraising teams and the Head of Market Transformation. This may include technical engagements within and outside of WWF.
  • Coordinate and lead meetings as required to deliver the programme.
  • Manage staff including interns and volunteers for the programme, providing effective leadership, guidance, goal-setting and constructive feedback, and fostering a positive work environment.

Required skills and competencies

  • Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of the subject matter, including climate change, Singapore’s climate policies, sector-specific decarbonisation trends (e.g.clean cooling and renewable energy), carbon markets, nature-based solutions, and corporate sustainability guidelines/standards. A commitment to continually grow, update and communicate subject-matter knowledge, and to apply knowledge to work plans and the wider work of the organization. A deep understanding of climate change and corporate sustainability is a prerequisite.
  • Strategic Thinking: The ability to think strategically and apply this to the programme and to align efforts with broader organizational goals in the context of Singapore and the region.
  • Workplan, Project and Budget Management: Ability to prepare and manage work plans, projects and budgets in a timely, accurate and realistic manner in accordance with best practice.
  • Leadership and People Management: Provide effective leadership and guidance to team members and others as required to deliver the programme.
  • Decision-Making and Problem-Solving: Demonstrate strong decision-making skills and the ability to solve complex problems. This can involve analysing information, evaluating options, and making informed decisions that align with the organization's objectives.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, including public speaking and presentation skills with an ability to communicate complicated concepts to diverse audiences.  Effectively collaborate with team members, stakeholders, and other departments.
  • Results Orientation: Drive results and achieve targets. This can include setting performance goals, monitoring progress, and taking appropriate action to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Adaptability and Change Management: Manage programmes and projects effectively and with agility. Embrace change and identify innovative opportunities for improvement.
  • Mentoring and Development: Provide mentorship, coaching, and opportunities for professional growth to team members. Take a proactive approach to self-development and learning.

Required qualifications

  • Required 6-8 years of professional experience in corporate sustainability or in consultant roles; candidates with 3-5 years of direct experience in climate change are encouraged to apply.
  • A degree in sustainable development, sustainable management, environmental economics and management, environmental law, or environmental sciences would be preferred but candidates with relevant expertise are encouraged to apply.
  • Previous experience in a non-profit environment would be an advantage.

Senior Digital Marketing Executive

Reports to: Digital Marketing and Fundraising Manager

As part of the Marketing and Fundraising department, the Senior Digital Marketing Executive will work closely with the Individual Fundraising, Marketing and Brand team members in the analysis of campaign performances, audience patterns, and identification of insights in order to implement and optimize WWF-Singapore’s digital fundraising and lead generation programs.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns to drive engagement, brand awareness, and donations (including but not limited to email marketing, social media advertising, and search engine marketing).
  • Develop and implement strategies for lead generation through digital channels, including website forms, landing pages, and chatbots.
  • Create high-quality, persuasive, and engaging copy and overall content for all digital marketing materials, including ads, social media posts, email campaigns, and landing pages.
  • Create and manage email marketing campaigns, including audience segmentation, A/B testing, and performance analysis.
  • Build landing pages for fundraising and marketing campaigns, ensuring they are user-friendly, visually appealing, and optimized for search engines.
  • Work together with the Web Developer team to integrate marketing assets (landing pages, APIs, or any potential donor touch points) to be up-to-date and in line with fundraising objectives.
  • Provide the Digital Marketing and Fundraising Manager with data findings to optimize fundraising channels (social media, website, etc.), UI/UX journeys, conversion funnels, campaigns, etc to produce content for WWF’s conservation projects that drive strong call to action.
  • Conduct A/B tests and experiments, track and measure performance in order to support or disprove assumptions.
  • Analyze the results and effectiveness of marketing campaigns to discover actionable insights for campaign strategies across our target audiences and drive marketing decisions through data analysis.
  • Work together with Digital Marketing & Fundraising Manager and HOD to prepare budgets and ROI for online media advertising and expenditure.
  • Work with the Data & Operations team to mine, synthesize, and translate audience data into marketing insights.
  • Stay abreast of best practices and latest trends in social media, digital marketing, web analytics, digital content and campaign management to identify new marketing platforms/opportunities.
  • Maintain and optimize WWF fundraising sites as required.

Profile:

Required Qualifications

  • Candidate with Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Business
  • Studies in Administration/Management, Marketing, Media, Commerce or equivalent experience
  • Ability to demonstrate practical application of digital marketing expertise to the highest level
  • At least 4 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Excellent written English, with experience in copywriting and production of online content
  • Familiar with managing paid social media platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram.
  • Experience with Google Analytics.
  • Experience with Google Ads and Google Display Network.
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, PHP and SQL will be an advantage but not compulsory.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and deliver on tight time-frames and good project management skills

Major Functions:

As the Education and Outreach Intern, you will be responsible for supporting the Schools Programme team in various initiatives and programs aimed at educating and engaging school communities about sustainable practices. You will be working to streamline processes, expand outreach efforts, and digitize content in order to increase the impact of the team's work.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the development and implementation of educational materials and resources for various sustainability programs and initiatives.
  • Support the team in planning and executing outreach events and activities, including workshops, presentations, and school engagement events.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop and implement educational and outreach initiatives.
  • Streamline processes and improve project management systems to enhance the efficiency of the team's work.
  • Develop and implement digital strategies to increase the reach and impact of the team's work, including website development, social media management, and digital content creation.
  • Assist with co-ordinating and eventually leading outdoor engagement activities for students.

Position Title: Assistant Finance Manager – FP&A

Reports to: Director of Finance

  1. Mission of the Department: The Finance department in WWF Singapore is to provide donors, stakeholders, and business partners with sound financial and internal control and governance in alignment with the Singapore Charities Act, Financial Reporting Standards, and WWF policies. We focus on efficient operating systems and processes, information, analysis, and business insights needed for informed decisions, and strong financial resources to support WWF’s priority conservation activities in Singapore and the rest of the global network.
  2. Major Functions: Deliver timely and accurate financial information and business performance insights for the operations of fundraising and conservation activities of WWF Singapore. Provide strategic financial planning, oversight of project expenditures and revenue, and cash management to maximise the efficient and effective use of funds. Drive accountability, control and compliance, and risk awareness by a high-performing team of talented finance professionals based on trust and mutual support.
  3. Major Duties and Responsibilities:

The incumbent should:

  • Analytics & Business Partnering

- Work with the FP&A Manager and business partners to use the right business performance management processes for performance tracking, variance analysis, and gap/risk identifications that help drive strategy to execution

-  Provide insights on the key metrics the business is trying to drive, and propose new possibilities or solutions to short-term business issues

- Business partner to conservation, communication, and marketing teams including budget control, income, cost, cash flow, and productivity analysis

  • Budgeting and Forecasting

- Work with the Finance Director and the Heads of Departments on high-level targets and assumptions to prepare and submit the department budgets

- Work with cross-functional counterparts to understand and challenge the components of forecasts to improve accuracy and quantify risks & opportunities

- Challenge business partners when budgets and forecasts are not delivering the business goals

- Forecast, monitor, and track project income utilisation and expenditures against budget, manage project cash flow, and identify funding needs

  • Process and Control

- Ensure effective department resource allocation through cost productivity analysis

- Implement best practice processes across the organisation to ensure consistency

- Review agreements from a financial perspective, including but not limited to accuracy of financial figures, alignment with WWF network standards/templates where applicable, budget and cash flow considerations, and completeness of supporting documents

- Constantly seek business process initiatives to improve overall productivity and thus achieve cost savings

  • Digital transformation support
  • Work closely with IT and digital transformation project teams to ensure financial systems and data integration support the project’s goals
  • Serve as a Finance subject matter expert for the digital transformation initiatives and participate in discussions on process, control and governance, as well as project performance management and user testing activities

IV. Profile:

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Commercial
  • At least 6 years of financial planning and business partnering experience within an international organization, multinational company or charity with complex donor requirements.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Good knowledge of financial and strategic planning and analysis
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and data analysis
  • Experience in Power BI, Microsoft Dynamics or Workday ERP would be an advantage
  • Familiar with good business process improvement practices
  • Business acumen, analytical mindset and ability to balance multiple priorities and multi-task
  • Mature and comfortable to present and challenge senior management
  • Excellent communication skills with spoken and written fluency in English
