About the role:

The People & Culture executive will execute various human resource functions, including payroll coordination, recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, work pass administration, staff information management in compliance with compliance and HR best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Payroll – support payroll processing and ensure salaries and allowances are paid on time.
  • Recruitment - Assist in recruitment and selection processes (e.g., job posting, screening, scheduling interviews).
  • Work Pass Administration - manage and ensure compliance with all government regulations related to the employment of foreign talents, including applying for, renewing, and cancelling work passes.
  • Onboarding & Offboarding – execute the administrative, logistical, and compliance-related processes to ensure a smooth and efficient experience for employees entering or leaving the organization.
  • HRIS and P-file management - Maintain employee records in physical and digital formats.
  • HR Administration – support the team in facilitating other HR-related functions (e.g. events, surveys, training)

Skills & Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience handling HR generalist/administrative tasks
  • Good knowledge of local manpower regulations, compliance and HR best practices
  • Proficiency in MS Office; experience with HRIS or payroll software is a plus
  • High level of integrity, HR Ethics and professionalism and able to handle confidential information with discretion.

Major Functions:

As the Rooted In Nature Programme Intern, you will be responsible for supporting the Programme Team in developing and executing our mindfulness programmes. This includes programme design, communication with stakeholders, and assisting with mindful nature walks.

Major Duties and Responsibilities::

  • Support the development of the Mindful Nature Walks programme. This includes managing complex project schedules, identifying potential stakeholders, and ideating mindfulness or nature-based activities.
  • Identify and liaise with stakeholders such as beneficiary organisations to co-ordinate programme-related matters or vendors for procurement.
  • Conduct literature review and data mining from websites or documents from various sources.
  • Develop an impact assessment methodology to track effectiveness of intervention on participants.
  • Support project management, review of feedback, reports and proposals.
  • Develop resources and manage logistics for the programme.
  • Assist the team during mindful nature walks, such as by conducting activity briefings, managing participants, and administering feedback surveys.

Requirements:

  • Degree preferably in Psychology, Counselling, Psychotherapy or related field. Individuals without a degree but extensive mindfulness and nature therapy experience are welcome to apply.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to write clearly and concisely for a variety of audiences.
  • Has experience in project management, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Detail oriented and flexibility to work on other projects as needed

Major Functions:

The Asst. Manager will be responsible for developing corporate partnerships and leading market transformation projects with corporate partners. The Asst. Manager will have the drive, knowledge and skills to engage corporate partners in transformational change, delivering shared conservation and community objectives, which will enable Singapore’s businesses to be a leading force in achieving the country’s sustainability goals over the next 10 years.

As part of the Growth and Partnerships Department, the Asst. Manager will play a pivotal role in expanding our corporate partnerships and driving revenue growth through strategic fundraising initiatives. This position requires a creative thinker with excellent communication skills and a proven track record in fundraising and relationship management.

Major duties & responsibilities

Strategic Direction and Leadership - 20%

  • Effectively collaborate with the Senior Manager, Corporate Partnerships and Director of Growth and Partnerships to develop and implement strategic plans for corporate fundraising and partnership initiatives.
    • Analyze market trends and identify new opportunities for corporate engagement and revenue growth    
    • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including corporate partners, sponsors, and internal teams, to advance fundraising goals, conservation impact  and organizational priorities.
    • Co-lead the planning and execution of comprehensive fundraising strategies, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission and strategic objectives.
    • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of fundraising campaigns and partnerships, making data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.

Business and Programme Development - 80%

  • Work with relevant WWF Programme and Delivery Teams, to understand critical conservation projects and priorities in order to develop innovative strategies to on-board companies for corporate partnership and transformation projects.
    • Identify and cultivate relationships with prospective, new and/or existing corporate partners and sponsors to secure support and strategic collaborations in assigned industries.           Prepare and present compelling proposals, sponsorship packages, and grant applications tailored to the mutual interests and objectives of WWF and the corporate donors. Negotiate terms and conditions of partnership agreements, ensuring alignment with organisational policies and priorities.Collaborate with relevant internal teams to develop and execute cause-related marketing campaigns, promotional activities, and /or develop new fundraising products.    Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in corporate fundraising and partnership development to enhance organisational visibility, donation opportunities and conservation impact.
    • Collaborate with other teams within WWF and contribute to ongoing programme discussions regarding conservation and outreach projects based in Singapore and/or the region.

Profile:

Required qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Business Administration or equivalent industry experience in corporate fundraising or partnership development, with demonstrated leadership and strategic planning skills in a charity or nonprofit outfit
  • 2-3 years’ experience in B2B business development, account management is a must.
  • Proven track record in one of the following areas and successfully securing corporate sponsorships, managing donor relationships, and achieving targets.

Major Functions:

The Project Coordinator provides support and assistance to the Conservation and Science Department on multiple projects, activities and tasks as required. The post-holder works across the organisation – including with Operations, Growth and Partnerships and Communications, and with overseas partners.

Major duties & responsibilities

  • Provide support and assistance in the day-to-day management of both terrestrial and marine field projects in the region
  • Monitor budgets for projects
  • Review technical progress and financial reports from implementing regional project teams and coordinate and attend updates with project partners. Record and distribute project updates internally

Profile:

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and above in environmental sciences, biology, geography or related fields preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of sustainability, conservation and related topics.
  • At least 3 to 5 years of project management experience in conservation, sustainability, natural resource management or related fields
  • Some field experience preferred
  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Good people management, engagement, and networking skills.
  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of information from various departments and stakeholders and present information in a structured and consistent way.
  • SCUBA diving certification a plus
  • Language literacy and fluency in either Bahasa Melayu/ Indonesia or Thai is required.

Philanthropy Advisor

Overview Function:

The mission of the Philanthropy team is to contribute significant, sustainable levels of philanthropic funding to support the local (Singapore-based) and regional (SEA-based) conservation, sustainability and education programmes in order to advance WWF’s mission. The team works closely with the CEO and Board of Directors to assist in the implementation of WWF-Singapore’s philanthropy strategy. 

The Philanthropy Adviser is expected to raise substantial funds from individuals, foundations, government agencies, philanthropic organisations, as well as build effective relationships with various stakeholders. The role is also responsible for the effective stewardship of current donors and supporters. This involves overseeing and working collaboratively with internal teams to deliver stewardship activities to retain and cultivate ongoing relationships, and working collaboratively with various teams to ensure milestones are met. Additionally, the Philanthropy Adviser conducts research on potential prospects, analyses and manages the database of donors and prospects, and provides bespoke support for donors.

Major duties & responsibilities:

Major Gifts and Grants (60%)

  • Works with the Head of Philanthropy to develop and execute an annual fundraising  strategy to solicit individual gifts and raise funds from foundations and other grantmaking organisations
  • Works with the Head of Philanthropy to design effective budget models and be accountable for achieving income targets; and ensuring that project implementation and funds are spent for impact  within contractual milestones
  • Effectively manages the donor cycle by developing and managing donor list and prospect pipeline, reporting, developing engagement and grant application plans, and capturing all activity within the CRM system
  • Researches and writes grants; provides timely reporting and ensures compliance as required with grant awards
  • Oversees the process of signing gift agreements, contracts and no-cost extensions; seeking internal approval and legal advice as appropriate

Stewardship (20%)

  • Works closely with the Head of Philanthropy and the Stewardship Manager to develop an effective plan for engagement and donor stewardship activities. Examples include regular check in with donors, sharing relevant news and updates on programmes, creating impact reports, and other activities as required to increase their affinity and stickiness to WWF
  • Liaises with relevant teams (e.g. field teams, operations, finance) to collate information, fact check and seek clarification to ensure the info provided is accurate and up-to-date. Requires coordination and excellent working relationships within WWF-Singapore and across APAC conservation teams
  • Designs and manages bespoke, segmented and mass digital communications to UHNWls, VIPs, board members, including newsletters, event invitations and registrations via Active Campaign, Resultics, Canva, EventBrite or similar software
  • Designs, drafts and edits philanthropy communications documents and digital presentations, including selection and inclusion of infographics, images, videos and photos to compellingly communicate to sophisticated external audiences
  • Proactively seek and manage environmental and conservation news which may be of interest to the Philanthropy audience



Research and Data Management (10%)

  • Conducts prospective major donors, trusts and foundations, multilateral grants and board of directors research including profiling and preparing of bios
  • Assists in research and preparation of briefing documents for HNWIs, VIPs, the government, and other stakeholders
  • Works with the Head of Philanthropy to fulfill requirements of internal due diligence  processes including software and database management



Events and Administrative Support (10%)

  • Assists in organising bespoke events, activities and fundraisers for existing donors and prospects; coordinates RSVPs
  • Prepares talking points, key messages, and briefings for bespoke events targeted at HNWI and major donors
  • Drafts and manages communication and /invitations to stakeholders
  • Supports logistics of donor and prospects for  conservation project site visits across APAC, including itineraries and budgets, in collaboration with APAC Network Offices, where applicable

Profile:

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline with excellent results. Postgraduate qualifications will be highly regarded
  • At least 3-5 years of relevant work experience in advisory, business development, philanthropy or environmental communications, project management, and / or fundraising, with proven success
  • Proven track record in high-value target achievement in either trusts and foundations, major donor or corporate fundraising. Experience with proposals and grant applications a plus.
  • Outstanding verbal and written English expression, including an ability to craft language and tone for impact reports, newsletters, thank-you letters and other correspondence, with attention to detail and correct grammar.
  • Experience in cultivating relationships and support effective stewardship of granting organisations and donors

Mission of the Department: The Finance department in WWF Singapore is to provide donors, stakeholders, and business partners with sound financial and internal control and governance in alignment with the Singapore Charities Act, Financial Reporting Standards, and WWF policies. We focus on efficient operating systems and processes, information, analysis, and business insights needed for informed decisions, and strong financial resources to support WWF’s priority conservation activities in Singapore and the rest of the global network.

Major Functions: Deliver timely and accurate financial information and business performance insights for the operations of fundraising and conservation activities of WWF Singapore. Provide strategic financial planning, oversight of project expenditures and revenue, and cash management to maximise the efficient and effective use of funds. Drive accountability, control and compliance, and risk awareness by a high-performing team of talented finance professionals based on trust and mutual support.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Finance Operations Management

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
  • Manage finance operations with two direct reports, supervising and mentoring staff to ensure productivity, professionalism, and performance.
  • Drive the standardization of operational processes within the Finance Department.

Financial Reporting and Compliance

  • Ensure timely monthly financial close, including the preparation of financial reports and schedules.
  • Ensure reporting compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines, staying updated on accounting best practices and regulatory changes.
  • Oversee the timely and accurate completion of all financial audits and tax filings, in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with the Head of Finance to deliver on the compliance agenda.

Business Partnering and Strategic Support

  • Support the annual budget preparation and monthly reforecast exercises.
  • Partner with fundraising teams on performance reviews, reforecasts, and budgeting.
  • Provide guidance for the department's digital transformation initiatives, including ERP implementation and procure-to-pay processes.

Internal Controls and Governance

  • Strengthen internal controls and governance practices, including handling internal audits and implementing recommended improvements.
  • Collaborate on governance initiatives to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.

Tax, Treasury, and Financial Matters

  • Manage tax compliance, cash flow, treasury operations, and other related financial responsibilities.

Required Qualifications         

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field;
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a non-profit organization.
  • Strong understanding of non-profit accounting principles, fund accounting, and grant management a plus
  • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced knowledge of MS Excel.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Good knowledge of IFRS and GST
  • Experience in SAGE, Microsoft Business Central or SAP.
  • Familiar with good internal control practices
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Major Functions:

As the Volunteer Programme and Public Engagement Intern, you will be responsible for supporting the Volunteer Team in providing online and in person engagement to the public, community groups, schools, and support our citizen science programmes. Assist in identifying trends and insights, conduct or supervise market research to identify new opportunities to engage our audience.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Volunteer Programme

  • Support recruitment and selection of volunteers for the Cyber Spotter Programme (CS). This includes screening, shortlisting of volunteers and maintaining a database of volunteers.
  • Support the development of the CS programme. This includes managing complex project schedules, assisting in project training, conducting agreeance checks and data analysis.
  • Develop, or assist in supervising the development of learning and engagement content; support in managing external vendors and agencies to deliver high-quality content.
  • Assist in monitoring inquiries and responding to or escalating them as necessary.
  • Support project management, review of feedback, reports and proposals.
  • Maintain a volunteer database and prepare for their regular engagement.
  • Support and run the annual volunteer engagement sessions.
  • Draft and edit emails for various purposes, such as volunteer recruitment, event invitations and newsletters
  • Assist with social media management (WWF-Volunteer Telegram Account)

Public engagement

  • Assist with co-ordinating and eventually lead public engagement in nature areas.
  • Assist with the running of volunteer programmes such as invasive species removal and biodiversity monitoring.
  • Engage with other teams within WWF Singapore to develop engagement content, communications and outreach.
  • Conduct public talks on environmental issues for schools, corporates, etc.
  • Conduct literature review, data-base management and data mining from websites or documents from various sources
  • Develop resources and manage logistics for public outreach
  • Perform other related duties as needed to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the Education and Outreach team.

Social Media

  • Gather and verify information on conservation topics, wildlife, and nature to support accurate and engaging content creation.
  • Assist in compiling and analysing social media performance reports to track growth, engagement, and content effectiveness.
  • Assist in ideating, drafting, and filming engaging content across WWF-Singapore’s social media platforms.
  • Research trends, topics, and creative formats to develop fresh and impactful storytelling ideas.
  • Extract insights from teams to craft engaging and shareable conservation and sustainability content.

Requirements:

  • Degree preferably in Education, Communications, Business, Environmental Science or related field. Individuals without a degree but extensive Volunteer management, and community engagement experience are welcome to apply.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to write clearly and concisely for a variety of audiences.
  • Has experience in project management, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Detail oriented and flexibility to work on other projects as needed
  • Interested in environmental and sustainability issues
  • Comfortable working in outdoor environments
  • Knowledge on local biodiversity
  • Passionate about conservation and driving real impact

This is a full-time, paid internship with a duration of 6 months.
