OVERVIEW

WWF-Singapore believes in protecting the biodiversity of our own city. Despite being a small island, Singapore is a haven of rich biodiversity that needs to be preserved and supported by all stakeholders. Our local initiatives seek to tackle these issues, but we need your help in continuing our efforts to engage individuals and communities in creating a better home for all of us.

These programmes are designed to raise climate awareness and provide opportunities to the public to learn more about nature and forge a greater connection with the environment, inspiring action towards protecting it.

No prior experience is needed for this programme and we invite you to join our upcoming sessions. Visit our registration page HERE for the programme dates.

THE PEOPLE OF SINGAPORE - THE KEY TO SUCCESS

offset

Increased temperature, flash floods and cold spells are just the beginning of the climatic changes we would experience here  in Singapore. Beyond that lies other environmental issues such as plastic pollution, illegal trade of wildlife parts and products and the decline in biodiversity as a whole.

Our local initiatives seek to tackle these issues, but we need your help in continuing our efforts to engage individuals and communities in creating a better Home for all of us. All 5.9 million (and counting) of us need to work together on the same goal.

What if we told you we could work together to slow down the effects of climate change and other environmental concerns in Singapore? We are calling out for funds to support our outreach efforts and activities, to help heighten awareness and encourage adoption of green measures in the wider community.

TREE PLANTING

Aligned with the Singapore Green Plan 2030, a pivotal component of the National Parks Board’s endeavours is to evolve Singapore into a City in Nature. The OneMillionTrees initiative strives to enhance the natural environment within our urban landscape by planting an additional one million trees throughout Singapore by 2030.

Active community engagement is crucial for the success of our initiative. At WWF-Singapore, we develop extensive programmes to educate participants about the essential role that greenery plays in addressing the impacts of climate change. Join us in contributing to the lush transformation of Singapore!

Duration: 1.5 – 2 hours
Frequency: Ad-hoc
Availability: Open to registered volunteers and WWF supporters

Suitable for participants aged 16 and above, and who are comfortable working in an outdoor environment.
