About #WeGotThis:
The #WeGotThis Youth Sustainability Incubator Programme empowers young sustainability advocates across Southeast Asia to drive real environmental impact. Through expert mentorship, campaign showcases, and a community of like-minded forward-thinkers, aspiring youth leaders will be empowered to conceptualise, develop and launch an impactful digital campaign addressing a sustainability challenge of tomorrow. More than just an online movement, this programme paves the way for young changemakers to go beyond digital advocacy and drive real, on-the-ground change in their communities.
Major Functions:
The post holder provides support and assistance to the Education and Outreach arm of the Conservation and Science Department of WWF-Singapore on multiple projects, activities and tasks. The Education and Outreach team aims to bring conservation and sustainability education and awareness to various stakeholders in Singapore. The post holder will play a vital role in developing and supporting the successful execution of the #WeGotThis Programme (Immersion component) via contribution to its content development, event logistics and management, building and maintaining the #WeGotThis youth alumni community, and creating strategic communications and designing collaterals for #WeGotThis social media and community channels. The post-holder will work closely with the Education and Outreach team to deliver impactful and well-organized events, while helping to build and manage a vibrant community of sustainability-focused youth.
Major Duties and Responsibilities::
- Content Curation and Development:
- Support the conceptualisation, curation, and development of content for the #WeGotThis Year 4 Sustainability Incubator Programme, both in the lead-up to the event and during its execution.
- Research and Vendor Management:
- Conduct research to identify potential speakers and vendors for the programme.
- Assist in reviewing and managing vendor engagements, including communications, negotiations, and logistics.
- Event Logistics and Operations:
- Assist with logistical and operational tasks to ensure smooth event execution.
- Provide on-site support during the programme, including managing schedules, participant flow, and vendor coordination.
- Participant Engagement and Communication:
- Actively engage and communicate with #WeGotThis alumni and participants through Telegram and in-person during the #WeGotThis Year 4 programme.
- Answer questions, mediate discussions, and foster a sense of community among participants.
- Community Building:
- Collaborate with the team to develop engagement strategies and activities aimed at organically growing the #WeGotThis community.
- Social Media and Content Strategy (only where needed):
- Advise the agency in content strategy development and execution across all #WeGotThis social platforms, driving meaningful engagement and interaction, only where needed.
- General Team Support:
- Provide additional support to the Education and Outreach team as needed, including taking on tasks during downtime or as priorities shift.
Required qualifications and skills:
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s/Hons/MSc degree in environmental or biological sciences or related fields.
- Demonstrated general knowledge of global sustainability, conservation and related topics.
- Specific knowledge of local sustainability issues, terrestrial and marine life will be a plus.
- Prior experience in conducting outreach activities such as organising workshops, talks, guided walks etc preferred.
- Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
- Good organisational skills.
- Familiarity with key digital platforms (Telegram, FB, IG, LinkedIn, YouTube) and best practices
- Proficient with design platforms such as Canva and Adobe Illustrator/Adobe Photoshop
- Experience developing social media campaigns
