Overview

We are seeking an experienced Carbon Finance and Markets Manager to lead WWF-Singapore’s efforts to advance high-integrity carbon markets and mobilise carbon finance towards natural landscapes. The role combines strategy and programme development, stakeholder engagement, and partnership management to strengthen the credibility and impact of carbon finance in Singapore and the region.

Key Responsibilities

Carbon Finance Strategy and progamme development

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of WWF-Singapore’s Carbon Finance strategy, aligned with WWF’s global finance and conservation priorities.
  • Support the development and execution of WWF-Singapore’s carbon finance programmes
  • Represent WWF-Singapore in dialogues, forums, and policy discussions to advocate for credible, transparent, and scalable carbon finance approaches.

Partnership Development, Project Management and Reporting

  • Lead the management and reporting of WWF-Singapore’s Carbon Finance programmes to ensure timely delivery, compliance, and measurable environmental and social outcomes.
  • Support the development of concept notes, proposals, and partnership frameworks for donors, financial partners, and institutional investors to strengthen support for WWF-Singapore’s Carbon Finance programmes
  • Coordinate programme planning, monitoring, and reporting across partners, ensuring high-quality updates, risk management, and adaptive learning.

Stakeholder Engagement and Influence

  • Build and manage strong relationships with financial institutions, investors, corporates, and development finance partners.
  • Provide thought leadership to influence market standards, investment frameworks, and disclosure practices that integrate nature and biodiversity considerations.
  • Serve as WWF-Singapore’s focal point for Carbon finance engagement, representing the organisation in national and regional finance networks.

Skills and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Environmental Studies, Sustainability, Public Policy, Development Studies, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3- years of relevant experience in programme or project management, preferably in the sustainability, environmental, or development sectors.
  • Strong ability to design, implement, and monitor programmes involving multiple stakeholders, partners, and funding streams.
  • Familiarity with carbon markets, climate finance, or nature-based solutions — with a willingness to deepen technical knowledge in these areas.
  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement, partnership development, or coordination with government, corporate, or non-profit actors.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience preparing proposals, progress reports, and partner communications.
  • Strategic thinker, self-driven, and passionate about driving systemic change in the finance–nature nexus.
