Philanthropy Lead (Manager)

Position title: Philanthropy Lead (Manager)

Location: Singapore

Contract: Full-Time

About WWF-Singapore

WWF is one of the world’s leading conservation organisations, working across 100+ countries to protect nature and tackle the most pressing environmental challenges. At WWF-Singapore, we partner with businesses, governments, and individuals to drive impact across climate, wildlife, forests, oceans, and sustainable carbon finance. In addition, we advance climate action and promote nature-based solutions – such as ecosystem restoration and mangrove protection to mitigate climate change, enhance biodiversity, and build resilience for communities and ecosystems. These efforts are also amplified through education and outreach initiatives in Singapore and the region

For more information, please visit wwf.sg.

About the role

Nature is under threat, and funding is one of the biggest levers for change.

At WWF-Singapore, we’re building powerful partnerships to protect ecosystems, tackle climate change, and restore biodiversity. This role sits right at the centre of that effort: unlocking major philanthropic support to turn ambition into real-world impact.

As Philanthropy Lead, you’ll be at the forefront of WWF-Singapore’s fundraising, building powerful relationships with trusts, foundations, and high-net-worth individuals. Working closely with senior leadership, including the Chairman, Board, and CEO, you’ll unlock new opportunities and deepen partnerships.

What You’ll Do

This isn’t a back-office fundraising role. You’ll be out front, building relationships, closing major gifts, and shaping how people invest in the future of our planet.

You will:

  • Own and grow a portfolio of high-value donors (trusts, foundations, HNWIs)
  • Secure five- and six-figure gifts that directly fund environmental education initiatives and conservation impact.
  • Craft compelling proposals and stories that inspire action.
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with influential supporters.
  • Partner closely with senior leadership (Chairman, Board, CEO) on key opportunities.
  • Spot and unlock new funding opportunities across networks and markets.

What We’re Looking For

You’re someone who:

  • Has closed high-value deals or partnerships, in fundraising, philanthropy, sales, or business development
  • Is a natural closer, you know how to move from conversation to commitment
  • Builds trust quickly and communicates with confidence at senior levels
  • Is both strategic and hands-on, you think big, but execute fast
  • Can juggle multiple priorities without dropping the ball
  • Loves working with people and creating meaningful, purpose-driven partnerships

Your Edge

  • Experience working with high-net-worth individuals or major donors
  • Strong proposal writing and storytelling skills
  • Understanding of Singapore’s philanthropy or fundraising landscape
  • Experience running events or curated donor experiences

Why Join Us

  • Work on something that matters
  • Collaborate with passionate, driven people
  • Get exposure to senior leaders and high-impact networks
  • Play a direct role in funding solutions to the world’s biggest environmental challenges

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline with excellent results. Postgraduate qualifications will be highly regarded
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in advisory, business development, philanthropy or environmental communications, project management, and / or fundraising, with proven success in Singapore
  • Proven track record in high-value target achievement
  • Outstanding verbal and written English expression, including an ability to craft language and tone for proposals, impact reports, newsletters, and other correspondences
  • Experience in cultivating relationships and support effective stewardship of granting organisations and donors
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM software
  • Adheres to WWF’s values which are: Courage, Integrity, Respect and Collaboration

Our Diversity Promise to You

At the heart of our mission is a simple truth: the planet needs everyone. That means you – in all your uniqueness, regardless of age, disability, gender identity, marital status, race, faith or belief, sexual orientation, socioeconomic background, or how you choose to express yourself. We don’t do stereotypes. We work together with purpose, driven by passion and enhanced by respect, courage, and integrity. We pull together from all walks of life to fight for a better future, and we want you to feel supported every step of the way.
