Global leaders, innovators and policymakers unite to shape and share practical, scalable solutions for sustainable climate transitions and biodiversity conservation across Asia-Pacific.
Singapore- 16 May 2025 – The WWF Earth Summit 2025, taking place on Friday, 23 May at the Marina Bay Sands Convention Centre, marks the third edition of WWF-Singapore’s flagship Summit series. Against the backdrop of the ongoing dual crises of climate change and biodiversity loss, this pivotal event is more urgent than ever. The summit’s theme – Climate. Nature. Transition. – focuses on advancing concrete, scalable solutions for a nature-positive future.
Bringing together C-suite leaders, government representatives, diplomats and innovators from across the region, the event aims to move beyond conversation and co-create solutions. This year’s edition builds on cross-sector partnerships with strong representation from WWF’s global network and partners, enabling key stakeholders to be empowered to drive transformative change necessary to address the climate-nature crises.
“The path to a sustainable future demands more than isolated commitments – it requires a system-wide transformation where Net Zero becomes Net Positive, where nature-based solutions are central to climate resilience, and where global agreements like the UN COPs remain relevant and accountable. Mobilising innovative finance at scale is the crucial next step to turn ambition into tangible impact.” said Vivek Kumar, Chief Executive Officer, WWF-Singapore. “We believe the WWF Earth Summit 2025 marks a defining moment for uniting climate, nature, and finance under one bold vision for our planet’s future.”
A Timely Summit Aligned with Global Milestones:
The 2025 summit coincides with three major global milestones:
- Midpoint of the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration (2021-2030)
- Approaching the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) deadline
- A critical year for countries to renew their Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) under the Paris Agreement.
The summit will feature high-impact discussions on net-zero, scaling nature-based solutions, and innovative finance mechanisms that drive both climate and biodiversity outcomes. Some of the key speakers include:
- Paul Polman, Former Chief Executive Officer, Unilever & Bestselling Author
- Manuel Pulgar-Vidal, President of COP20 & Global Leader, Climate & Energy, WWF-International
- Joseph Teo, Singapore’s Chief Negotiator for Climate Change
