The Board is confident in his ability to build on the organisation’s progress and strengthen its impact across Singapore and the region.”
On his appointment, Sutat shared “It is a privilege to take on this role at WWF-Singapore at such a significant milestone, as WWF-Singapore marks its 20th anniversary alongside 65 years of WWF globally. As we honour two decades of conservation impact from Singapore, I look forward to working with the team, the Board and our partners to carry that purpose forward and deliver greater impact for climate, nature, community and our shared future together.”
Building on Two Decades of Impact
As WWF-Singapore enters its next phase of growth, the organisation is advancing flagship efforts that will strengthen its impact across biodiversity conservation, climate action and community outcomes – from protecting species and ecosystems to scaling science-based solutions across Singapore and the region.
- Accelerating Climate and Nature Solutions
Through initiatives such as Canopy, a nature finance facility supporting up to 12,000 hectares of high-quality restoration across Southeast Asia, and the Action for a Resilient Climate (ARC) Coalition, WWF-Singapore is driving credible climate and nature investments across Asia-Pacific. As a founding member of ARC, WWF-Singapore works alongside corporates, financial institutions, philanthropic organisations and government partners to promote integrity, transparency and participation in global carbon markets.
Together, these efforts aim to mobilise finance at scale while delivering measurable impact for nature and communities.
- Advancing Public Engagement in Conservation through Science and Innovation
WWF-Singapore is also developing new initiatives to strengthen public engagement in climate and biodiversity conservation across Asia. Building on its science-based expertise, the organisation aims to connect research, education and community participation to encourage greater environmental awareness and action. Through scientific learning, digital innovation and hands-on experiences, WWF-Singapore seeks to make conservation more accessible and engaging, while collaborating with educators, researchers, conservationists and government partners to support the next generation of environmental stewards.
