Format
Four sessions. Session duration varies between 1 to 1.5 hours
Target Audience
Primary and Secondary School (10 to 17 years old)
Session Outline
Workshop 1
Understand the causes and impacts of food waste (Time will need to be allocated outside of Workshop 1 to weigh food waste generated over 5 days. This will be managed by the teacher in charge.)
Workshop 2
Explore how food waste is managed locally and globally
Workshop 3
Develop and implement solutions to tackle food waste in school (Time will need to be allocated outside of Workshop 3 to weigh food waste generated over 5 days after action plans have been implemented. This will be managed by the teacher in charge.)
Workshop 4 (1.5 – 2 months after Workshop 3)
Evaluate and analyse effectiveness of food waste solutions
