Climate change is the defining issue of our time. Countries across the world need to act urgently to implement their climate change commitments and limit the impacts of global warming.
Without clear actions to reduce our emissions while changing how economies are powered, adapting to impacts of climate change in the future will be even more difficult and costly.
We work with schools in Singapore to take climate action and adopt a net zero emissions target by 2050.
The Schools for Climate Action project equips students to learn and apply the concept of calculating their school’s carbon footprint. They then work together to formulate an action plan that will be implemented in their school or local community to reduce emissions over a period of time.
This project provides a real world opportunity for Singapore’s youths to take climate action, learn skills and apply techniques that positively influence values of their community.
