As part of NPark’s effort to transform Singapore into a City of Nature, in alignment with the Singapore Green Plan 2030, the OneMillionTrees (OMT) movement aims to restore nature by planting a million more trees across the city in the next 10 years.
WWF-SG is planning to raise S$150,000 to plant 500 trees by 2023.
Since the launch of the movement in April 2020, over 400,000 trees have been planted in the last two years. WWF-Singapore is looking for companies to sponsor 500 trees each under the OMT programme, with the goal of including corporations in restoring the city’s greenery. By next year, we aim to engage at least five companies to join OMT.
We also curate full-fledged programmes that educate participants on the importance of greenery in combating climate change. WWF-SG plans to reach 500 individuals to plant trees within the next year.
