Living used to be easy. Waves bring treasures deep from the ocean cool. Fishes are jumping and whales whistle till their tails flip in loops. Then something changes all that “out of the blue”.
Oceans turn warm and the waves now bring black slicks from oil spill. Fishes are gasping and whales toss their tails to fend off hunters’ pursue.
What has happened “out of the blue”?
A big question from Mother Nature that should make little boys and little girls feel blue.
The ARTS FISSION Company’s annual young people environmental dance-theatre production interprets today’s depleting nature and environment through the eyes of the young and spins a cautionary tale for the urban children. Seafood is our main staple and kids love fish-fingers. But do we know about the peril of overfishing?
The dance performance features casts of professional dancers with children performers in whimsical costumes and props, dancing through unusual stage installations with animations by multimedia students of the Raffles Design Institute. Tune in and be mesmerized by Composer Philip Tan’s live music performance especially created for the show.
