Overview

We are seeking a Carbon Policy Manager to support WWF-Singapore’s efforts to advance high-integrity carbon markets and mobilise carbon finance towards natural landscapes. The role combines policy making, programme management and coordination, as well as stakeholder engagement to support WWF’s carbon finance programmes and uptake of WWF’s approach to carbon finance within the region.

Responsibilities

Carbon Finance Policy development

· Develop and update WWF-Singapore’s Carbon Finance policy, aligned with WWF’s global finance (carbon and sustainable finance) priorities as well as national, regional and global policy developments in carbon finance

Carbon Programme Management and Coordination

· Coordinate and manage key programme milestones of WWF-Singapore’s priority carbon finance related programmes, including in support of WWF’s involvement in the SCeNe coalition

· Support the development of concept notes, proposals, and partnership frameworks for donors, financial partners, and institutional investors to strengthen support for WWF’s approach to carbon finance

Stakeholder Engagement

· Build and manage strong relationships with carbon finance ecosystem with the view to advocate for WWF’s position on carbon finance – particularly in the areas of securing high quality demand for carbon credits and carbon project design approaches.

Skills and Requirements

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Environmental Studies, Sustainability, Public Policy, Development Studies, Business Administration, or a related field.

· 3- years of relevant experience in carbon markets

· Familiarity with national, regional and global policy developments in carbon finance as well as high quality carbon project design elements — with a willingness to deepen knowledge in these areas.

· Demonstrated experience and in stakeholder engagement, partnership development, or coordination with government, corporate, or non-profit actors.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience preparing proposals, progress reports, and partner communications.

Data Analysis Intern (Forest and Wildlife Conservation)

Major Functions

The intern will support WWF-Singapore’s Conservation department and provide project implementation and management support with a focus on Data Analysis for local projects. This includes assisting with data analysis, report writing, project development, implementation, and monitoring. The role also offers exposure to regional conservation projects across Southeast Asia through programme support for forest and wildlife conservation, including project and programme management, pitching, progress and finance report review, communication and more.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

1. Primary responsibility (75%): Local Projects Data Analysis

Focus projects will be on a Wildlife Connectivity pilot (camera trap study) and Straw-headed bulbul population monitoring (citizen-science project)

· Clean and organize camera trap datasets for analysis

· Identify species recorded on camera trap images

· Lead the data analysis to detect patterns in wildlife presence and activity

· Maintain accurate records and documentation of processed data (observation dashboard)

· Conduct literature reviews from the intranet, websites, research or reports from various sources

· Support and join field activities when required

· Liaise with project partners and volunteers

· Support drafting a final pilot report

· General project and programme logistical support

2. Secondary responsibility (25%): Support the forest and wildlife regional portfolio

Assist in the management of local and regional marine projects, including but not limited to:

· Review of progress reports (activities and budgets)

· Administrative support (e.g. project tracking)

· Assist in preparing briefing decks, meeting notes, and follow-up communications

· Maintain dashboards and documentation for internal reporting

· Support fact-checking for donor reporting of regional projects

· Compile relevant project information and impact metrics

· Support the development of communication content for terrestrial projects/topics

· Perform other related duties as needed to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the team.

Requirements

· Undergraduate, master student or recent graduate in environmental sciences, life sciences, geography, biodiversity conservation or relevant field

· Strong interest and understanding of terrestrial wildlife and landscape conservation, ecological research and project management

· Prior experience working with camera traps is a plus

· Knowledge identifying local fauna

· Experience working with large data sets

· Familiarity with basic data analysis tools (Excel, R, GIS tool) and willing to learn

· Good organisational and communication skills

· Comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor settings

· Detail-oriented and proactive, with the ability to work independently while having a collaborative spirit

· Advanced written and verbal English skills, along with the maturity to work in a global, multi-cultural environment

· Flexibility and ability to work on other projects as needed

· Passionate about conservation and driving real impact

Additional Information

· This is a full-time, paid internship.

· The intern will be expected to be available for a period of approximately 6 months, ending no later than 30th June 2026.

· This internship will provide students or recent graduates with hands-on experience in wildlife data management and analysis, exposure to conservation methodologies, and an introduction to work life in a large international NGO

Lead, Forest Nature-based Solutions
Details

WWF-Singapore is seeking a skilled and motivated professional to lead and support the delivery of its forest conservation and nature-based solutions (NbS) programmes across Southeast Asia. As Lead, Forest NbS, you will play a key role in implementing WWF-Singapore’s regional forest and wildlife initiatives, applying science, policy, and partnerships to protect, restore, and sustainably manage forest ecosystems that deliver benefits for biodiversity, climate, and people.

The role requires strong technical knowledge of tropical forest ecology, restoration, protected area management and wildlife conservation biology, as well as a solid understanding of the carbon, biodiversity, and community co-benefits of forest landscapes. You will coordinate programme activities, manage regional projects and budgets, and contribute to the design and operationalisation of WWF-Singapore’s Forest NbS strategy.

As part of the NbS leadership team, you will lead the development and implementation of on-the-ground field projects across Southeast Asia, ensuring high-quality delivery, measurable outcomes, and alignment with regional and global priorities. You will engage with government agencies, civil society, private sector actors, and academic partners to scale impact, share knowledge, and promote innovation. Success in this role requires strong operational skills, technical knowledge, collaborative problem-solving, and a commitment to evidence-based, inclusive conservation solutions. Please note this role requires travel to remote field sites in Southeast Asia for project monitoring and evaluation and stakeholder engagement as and when needed.

Key Responsibilities

Programme Delivery & Operational Leadership

· Oversee delivery of the Forest NbS portfolio in collaboration with regional WWF offices across Asia-Pacific and select partners in Singapore, ensuring objectives, timelines, and budgets are on track and aligned with strategic priorities.

· Lead day-to-day operations of the Forest NbS team, providing mentorship and guidance to ensure team members are supported in workload planning, coordination, and high-quality project delivery across local and regional programmes.

· Partner with WWF-Singapore's Operations, Fundraising, Stewardship, Legal, and Finance teams to manage budgets, track expenditure, and ensure compliance with organisational and donor requirements.

Technical Support, Partnerships & Donor Engagement

· Oversee the review of technical progress reports, donor reports and deliverables, and communication materials, liaising with implementation partners, donors and other stakeholders both within and beyond WWF-Singapore to receive and provide timely and accurate updates on project progress and impact.

· Support project pipeline planning, proposal development, and portfolio-level strategy, coordinating within WWF-Singapore and with regional offices and other key partners to advance forest conservation priorities.

· Represent WWF-Singapore in WWF network calls/workshops, strategic sessions, technical working groups, and donor engagements, and occasionally serve as spokesperson in expert panels, media appearances, or other public events.

· Contribute to digital transformation, promoting the use of innovative technologies like AI to improve programme efficiency.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning

· Lead the development and implementation of robust monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) systems, including reporting frameworks, indicators, and knowledge management tools to ensure measurable biodiversity, climate, and community outcomes at the project level.

· Promote adaptive management and knowledge sharing across projects and at the programme level, facilitating internal and regional learning and showcasing results across the portfolio.

· Organise workshops, meetings, site visits and draft reports or other written communications, as required, on key topics relevant to the Forest NbS portfolio (e.g., forest landscape restoration, illegal wildlife trade, sustainable production and consumption, and sustainable tourism).

Required Qualifications and Skills

· Master’s degree or PhD in Forestry, Ecology, Environmental Science, Conservation Biology, or related field.

· 8-10 years of relevant experience, including demonstrated leadership and project management skills.

· Technical knowledge of tropical forest ecology, restoration, and wildlife conservation, ideally with experience directly implementing field conservation in Southeast Asia.

· Demonstrated experience designing and implementing MEL or adaptive management frameworks.

· Strong project management, budgeting, and partnership coordination skills.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; experience in donor reporting and stakeholder engagement.

Desirable

· Experience coordinating with stakeholders in Southeast Asia and/or working with indigenous peoples or local communities is highly desirable.

· Familiarity with forest certification or sustainability standards and voluntary carbon and biodiversity markets.

· Knowledge and understanding of sustainable tourism.

· Fluency in one or more Southeast Asian languages (e.g. Bahasa Malaysia / Indonesia, Thai, Vietnamese, Khmer) is a plus.

Major Functions: 

As the Volunteer Programme and Public Engagement Intern, you will be responsible for supporting the Volunteer Team in providing online and in person engagement to the public, community groups, schools, and support our citizen science programmes. Assist in identifying trends and insights, conduct or supervise market research to identify new opportunities to engage our audience.  

Major Duties and Responsibilities: 

Volunteer Programme 

  • Support recruitment and selection of volunteers for the Cyber Spotter Programme (CS). This includes screening, shortlisting of volunteers and maintaining a database of volunteers. 
  • Support the development of the CS programme. This includes managing complex project schedules, assisting in project training, conducting agreeance checks and data analysis. 
  • Develop, or assist in supervising the development of learning and engagement content; support in managing external vendors and agencies to deliver high-quality content. 
  • Assist in monitoring inquiries and responding to or escalating them as necessary. 
  • Support project management, review of feedback, reports and proposals. 
  • Maintain a volunteer database and prepare for their regular engagement.  
  • Support and run the annual volunteer engagement sessions. 
  • Draft and edit emails for various purposes, such as volunteer recruitment, event invitations and newsletters 
  • Assist with social media management (WWF-Volunteer Telegram Account) 

Public engagement 

  • Assist with co-ordinating and eventually lead public engagement in nature areas.

  • Conduct public talks on environmental issues for schools, corporates, etc.

Social Media 

  • Gather and verify information on conservation topics, wildlife, and nature to support accurate and engaging content creation. 
  • Assist in compiling and analysing social media performance reports to track growth, engagement, and content effectiveness. 
  • Assist in ideating, drafting, and filming engaging content across WWF-Singapore’s social media platforms. 
  • Research trends, topics, and creative formats to develop fresh and impactful storytelling ideas. 
  • Extract insights from teams to craft engaging and shareable conservation and sustainability content. 

Requirements:  

  • Degree preferably in Education, Communications, Business, Environmental Science or related field. Individuals without a degree but extensive Volunteer management, and community engagement experience are welcome to apply.  
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to write clearly and concisely for a variety of audiences.

Major Functions:

The Assistant Manager/ Manager, Programme Operations, works closely with the Director of Conservation & Science and the Director of Climate & Sustainability to ensure delivery of the Conservation strategy. This role provides operational support and oversight across the entire programme management cycle, covering projects under Community, Nature and Climate & Sustainability themes. The successful candidate can operate at both strategic and operational levels, coordinating with Department Heads, Project Managers, WWF staff in implementing offices and external vendors and stakeholders to support completion of ongoing projects, drive new programme development and lead programme reporting.

Responsibilities:

Programme Management:

  • Employ WWF project management principles, tools and practices to partner with programmes teams of the Conservation Department towards successful completion of milestones;
  • Monitor programme progress and bring forward potential issues and possible solutions in collaboration with the project managers to the leadership team.
  • Focal point for Environmental and Social Safeguards Framework for WWF-Singapore office
  • Refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for regional and local project evaluations, including guidelines for project review and approval process to facilitate consistent quality and accountability across all projects

Operation and Financial Oversight:

  • Oversee programme reporting to key stakeholders, including maintaining a detailed project tracker and providing regular reporting to theme teams, Senior Management Team and the Board.
  • Collaborate with project teams to support day-to-day operations, including interoffice agreements, procurement to ensure smooth delivery of projects
  • Co-ordinate with Finance team to ensure budgets are well-aligned with secured funding, and project expenditure is on track
  • Support the tracking and reporting process for WWF-SG to report its impact and contribution as a network office.

Programme Operations Development and Capability Building:

  • Manage the learning and adaptation cycle within the organisation, ensure that WWF Singapore’s framework and processes are followed from project design to completion;
  • Work with local and regional project managers to track and improve the delivery of projects to improve impact and revenue recognition.
  • Support the Director of Conservation & Science and Director of Climate and Sustainability in conducting quality assurance of new programme and project proposals.
  • Develop programme management strategy to grow WWF-Singapore’s projects and conservation impact locally and regionally
  • Provide support to the company’s digital transformation initiative, ensuring the successful adoption of new technologies and processes.

Skills and Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Management or a relevant field.
  • At least 10 years of financial/programme management experience within an international organization, audit firm or charity with complex donor requirements.
  • Excellent knowledge of project accounting and programme operation management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, data visualisation tools and comfortable working with large data sets.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to prioritise and operate under tight deadlines
  • Experience working with international teams and achieving impact
  • Team player with strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Job Summary:

As the Education and Outreach Intern, you will be responsible for supporting the Schools Programme team in various initiatives and programs aimed at educating and engaging school communities about sustainable practices. You will be working to streamline processes, expand outreach efforts, and digitize content in order to increase the impact of the team's work.

Major Duties and Responsibilities::

  • Assist with the development and implementation of educational materials and resources for various sustainability programs and initiatives.
  • Support the team in planning and executing outreach events and activities, including workshops, presentations, and school engagement events.
