Jebsen & Jessen (SEA) organised their 4th ‘Meet a Need’ trip with WWF. This year’s destination was the amazing Ujung Kulon National Park, East Java, Indonesia, a World Heritage Site. The young and enthusiastic staff of Jebsen & Jessen (SEA) monitored the critically endangered Javan Rhino and placed a video trap. Also invasive Arenga palms were removed in the dense forest. Inventory data update of local birds at Peucang Island, mangrove tree planting and coral transplantation at Badul Island were one of the other activities that took place. Artificial racks were placed, and the staff was able to place their own tagged coral while doing a discovery dive. In the elementary school of Taman Jaya there was a cultural exchange with the local community. Jebsen & Jessen (SEA) donated school books and stationary to the principal of the school. Thank you Jebsen & Jessen (SEA) for your invaluable support!
